Noteworthy Look: Janel Parrish
On this week’s explosive Pretty Little Liars season 5 finale, Mona Vanderwaal (played by Janel Parrish) ended the episode (and her life on the show) in an outfit that masterfully mixed prints. I have frequently stated that I am a huge fan of the styling on this show, and this outfit has to be one of my all-time favorites shown thus far. Janel was dressed in a navy leopard print peplum top and pink floral jeans both from Forever 21. The PLL stylist accessorized this look with a skinny white belt and black booties. For an outfit with such variety in colors and patterns, it actually works marvelously! I’ve been trying to find pieces to recreate this outfit, but I’m stumped for now…

Noteworthy Look: Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington was hands down my favorite look on the red carpet for last night’s Emmy Awards. She was dressed from head to toe in Prada and rocked the color orange better than anyone ever could. The actress debuted a sleek ombre LOB that I absolutely adore. Also, major bonus points for the fashion-forward use of blue eyeshadow.

Best Dressed: 2014 MTV VMAs

Picking the best dressed celebrities from this year’s MTV VMAs was not a difficult task, the winners were clear in my mind. High slits, deep v-necks, red and black were trending on last night’s red carpet. My favorite look of the night was Kylie Jenner’s black silk Alexandre Vauthier dress, reminiscent of Rihanna’s yellow gown from the 2014 Pre-Grammy party. Here are my top picks, in no particular order:

  • Kylie Jenner in Alexandre Vauthier
  • Rita Ora in Donna Karan Atelier
  • Kim Kardashian in Balmain
  • Demi Lovato in Lanvin
  • Kendall Jenner in Alon Livne
  • Beyoncé in Nicolas Jebran
  • Lucy Hale in Oscar de la Renta

Rita Ora x Adidas

I am beyond excited for the rest of Adidas’ Originals by Rita Ora collection to be released. Currently, the “black pack” is the only part of the collection in stores and it’s an heavily laden with sleek black pieces embellished with leather and fun patches.

The other more colorful parts of the collection have yet to be released but judging by the promo photos and Rita’s exposition of several items, I can already say I can’t wait for the rest to be unveiled! The other apparel divisions include the pastel pack, the colourblock pack, the spray pack and the roses pack.

Noteworthy Look: Sarah Hyland

Last night, Sarah Hyland radiated fashion at the Audi 2014 Emmy Awards Celebration in West Hollywood. Her look was mature yet subtly sexy in head-to-toe black and white with a loose fishtail braid and gorgeous smokey eyes. She wore a loose low-cut blouse revealing a lace bralette, tucked into a black skater skirt with some fabulous ankle-strap heels. The 23-year-old starlet looked like a beautiful grown woman on Audi’s black carpet.

Vanessa Hudgens looks incredible on the cover of September’s issue of Flaunt Magazine. Her body, outfit and fresh new haircut are all spot on.

Maxi Dressed Up

For short ladies like me, finding a maxi dress that doesn’t drag on the floor can be quite the challenge. However, this dress from Urban Outfitters fits just right on my 5’2” frame- because it’s technically a midi dress! Sometimes my height requires creativity with shopping.

The combination of sleek black and slimming patterned panels make this maxi dress ultra flattering. Plus, I love the colorful accents of pink and blue in the design.

I accessorized this look with a gold collar necklace, a beloved family hand-me-down, and a pair of simple blue braided sandals from Target (so cheap and comfortable!). Paired with a loose bun and a dark purple statement lip, this easy outfit is perfect for going out to dinner.

Pin-Up in Polka Dots

For a modern-day version of pin-up style, I wore this summertime outfit for a day out with friends. The look consists of a white collared lace shirt from H&M, high-waisted polka dot shorts from Urban Outfitters and one of my favorite pairs of summer sandals by ALDO.

This outfit is perfect for a day party or happy hour drinks. Add flats and a jacket, like this one from H&M, for a more conservative look. Since this outfit is sassy, I kept my makeup clean and natural with subtle shimmer on my eyes and my new obsession, NYX soft matte lip cream

Boredom Breeds Creativity
For my 22nd birthday my friends and I got a HUGE bottle of Jack Honey, one of my favorite drinks, to celebrate. Once the bottle was finished (a month later) I bedazzled it for decoration. This blingy bottle can stand alone or can be used to store things like loose change or to hold flowers. Get creative!

Beauty Bulletin: L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow
I love dramatic eye makeup, so naturally I fell in love when I tried L’Oreal’s Infallible 25 Hour Eye Shadow. This product is rich with pigment so you don’t need to use a lot at once and one container will last a long time. In this photo I’m wearing the color, “Amber Rush,” which is a glittery amber that goes great with strawberry blonde hair. I finished the look with a liquid eyeliner cat eye, bold lashes and a natural lip so the focus is on my eyes. This is a great product for summer nights when you want makeup that will shimmer in the dark.

Meetings n’ Stuff in NYC
Planning an outfit for a summer interview may seem challenging, but with a nice sleeveless blouse and a conservative-length pencil skirt you can still look professional in hot weather. Since I’ve been interviewing for positions in fashion PR, I decided to add flare to my otherwise conservative look with heeled French Connection sandals and my mint green purse from JustFab.

Beyoncé X Rita Ora’s Unreleased Adidas Collection

Beyoncé recently posted these pics wearing pieces from Rita Ora’s unreleased collection for Adidas. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the line looks like!
